FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: ObamaSuggestionBox.Net Health Care Plan Poll Shows Stunning Results - 14% approval. The ObamaSuggestionBox health care survey public opinion email poll, taken by 933 people over the last 2 weeks, showed only 14% supporting the current plan even though 87% understand the plan. There is a lot of resentment towards public officials handling of the proposal, and their elitist attitude. More than half of the respondents believe people should be able to peacefully end their lives. Numerous write in comments were collected, including one person who went to school with Hillary Clinton, graduated with an MS with honors, and today cannot afford health insurance. Write in comments were numerous. One person went to school with Hillary Clinton, graduated with an MS with honors, and today cannot afford health insurance. They had a lot to say. So did everybody else. Another person said "Slow down and let us live". The additional questions, specific answer breakdown, and write in comments show that the concerns of Americans, which we have seen erupting in town hall meetings, are indeed very deep rooted. Anyone may copy, post, or distribute the survey content at the link below freely as long as they indicate that the survey was administered by http://www.obmasuggestionbox.com , an non partisan team that is focused on ensuring Americans voices are heard. |
One way our survey is unique is that some questions allowed "write in", or open ended comments. This gives us an 'electronic town hall' approach, however this town "virtual" town hall puts the comments in front of the world, and will be visible forever. Look for the "view button" at the end of the bar graphs for a specific question to see the comments:.
One view button can have several hundred comments, but it loads in just a second. Just click the back button to return to the survey questions. |
INFORMATION ABOUT THE SURVEY: This is non scientific survey. We believe the usual scientific surveys don't do a great job of demonstrating how people feel; you never see much emotion. Also, nobody really knows exactly how accurate scientific surveys are because it is impossible to survey the entire population to prove them one way or another. We do not intrusively call people based on a so-called scientific list and manually extract information like a telephone survey, which could potentially be fudged by the survey crew. The answers in our questions are unique and allow people to answer with emotion, with no pressure or embarrassment, as you can see by the answers. This is a private survey. In contrast, if a pollster calls you on the phone and asks you questions, the pollster knows who you are, what your answers are, and that could impact the respondents answers. We do it a different way that is private. We sent a personal email to a random sample from our general email database, only to people in the USA. Our database has the first and last name, address, phone number, and in most cases even the birthday of the contact. 933 people responded and took the survey, which of course is a very large number and equal to other polls which get a lot of publicity. Respondents were only allowed to take the survey once. Answers were anonymous, however we recorded IP addresses of responses to ensure credibility of the data on our end. Not every question was required to be answered, so some people skipped questions or chose to write in only on some subjects. The first email request went out on 8/19 thru 8/20, and one thank you / reminder email was sent 8/24 thru 8/26. The survey was closed on 8/20 at 9:30PMEST and the results are now posted at the same link. The survey and results were/are at obamasuggestionbox.net. Note that during this timeframe the health care plan was meeting resistance and amendments were being discussed in the press. All people who were emailed will be sent a link to the results, which was promised in the second email. All emails were sent 100% spam-act compliant including unsubscribe link. We observed incredibly minute unsubscribe rates - the lowest ever on any mailing, which we took as being very positive. We look forward to future surveys on other important issues. If Congress and the house of REPRESENTATIVES is supposed to be representing US, let's make sure we tell them what we want them to do. Speak often and carry a big flag, with a finger that can get rid of them in the next round of voting if they don't listen. We are a volunteer family team of 4 technical and marketing professionals, using web technology to ensure the REAL people are heard. We are very proud to be Americans, and very proud have the number one right of democracy -- Freedom of Speech! God Bless America! admin@obamasuggestionbox.com
