Build Magnetic Train

Posted by admin 581 days ago (Suggestion)
We need to build mag lev plans, period. Think of all the time and energy that could be saved with a national train system. Europe has a vast train system and the result is very transient territory. Now that the auto companies are going under anyway, it's time to redefine the paradigm of American transportation. Read More »

Why not make the oil companies pay for...

Posted by emerald 575 days ago (Suggestion)
Hello my name is Terri Hill and I have a suggestion that makes sense to me.

My suggestion is:

Why not make the oil companies use their record profits to pay for major road, highway and bridge construction and repair? After all, don't we use their gas to travel on those roads, highways and bridges?

Thanks for listening,

Auto Industry Bailout

Posted by rob4641579 557 days ago (Suggestion)
GM and Chrysler will need money from the government for many years to come because they only think of profits not vehicles we need. Save our tax money and let them fail big time! We have creative people and companies in the USA like Google, Apple, etc. they will rise up and put us back on top as the best car country again if given the chance.
Flushing a toilet with water makes more sense than flushing with our tax dollars! Read More »

Hydrogen conversion for all fuel powered vehicals.

Posted by CFP 579 days ago (Suggestion)
Sir, A hydrogen conversing for all vehicles is very cheap, and all car and truck dealers can do it for one to three hundred dollars. The conversion gives two to three times the gas millage for all motor driven vehicles. The converter makes the hydrogen as needed. No storage.

Since the fall of GM and the eventful control by the US government, we as Americans should urge the President to merge Tesla Automotive with the production power of General Motors in a bid to mass produce electric cars currently being made by Tesla Motors (Silicon Valley, California). This move could through time move the US to be a oil free economy that uses new advances in technology which will maintain the America's reputation as a world leader in technology. In addition, foreign auto companies could be greatly reduced by increase in the production of fully electric vehicles as Tesla is currently doing. We cannot afford to overlook what Tesla is doing now. Gm production power can more than drive down the price of electric vehicle ownership, control pollution, reduction of foreign prof Read More »

Auto Verses Cell Phone Use

Posted by rockettothefuture 548 days ago (Suggestion)
I know this wont be a popular idea, but I think the time has come to create a national ban on the use of cell phones,or any other devise that may take your attention off the road while operating a motorized vehicle on public streets, and highways. This is just a simple step that will make things safer on the roads for Innocent, and conscientious drivers. If you need to use your cell phone while on the road just pull into a rest stop, parking lot, or safely off to the side of the road! Read More »

Solution to cut auto emissions today

Posted by thosmcgill 477 days ago (Suggestion)
The easiest solution to cut auto emissions today...

Local governments need to synchronize all traffic lights to ensure traffic is moving at all times. (It's a simple mathematical problem)

It's embarrassing that traffic lights are not sync to keep traffic moving. On a typical Sunday, when no one is out, (I've seen this in Florida, California, New Mexico, etc.) I will catch every traffic light when traveling.

Not only we are adding unwanted car emission into the air, it effects our economy. People stuck in traffic for hours per week... displaces that time from being productive.

Please... we need to educate our local governments to start making a real difference. I am tired of seeing nothing done..... Read More »
One of the problems we're faced with when trying to convert to cars that use hydrogen fuel is a catch-22 kind of thing - people won't buy the cars until they know there are enough gas stations within convenient reach, and gas stations won't add hydrogen fuel pumps until there are enough cars out there to make them profitable. The solution might be to phase them in.

Step 1 - Create briefcase-shaped fuel tanks that can be sold at convenience stores the way natural gas is sold now.

Step 2 - Create hydrogen cars that have their fuel systems designed somewhat like blade servers, where the fuel tanks bought from the convenience stores could be easily slipped into place.

Step 3 - When the exchange of these new fuel tanks reaches a high enough level, install a pump to refill them Read More »
The oil companies have already started the gas prices up for the summer vacation period. Here in rural Central Oregon we are already experiencing $2.55 per gallon with the prospect of more increases to come. We are at 18 to 25% unemployment at this time - these higher energy prices really hurt us and drain off any extra dollars that might have made their way to our area in the form of stimulus dollars. We are doing bridges and road repairs all over this section of Oregon and these projects are widely spread and no local housing is available most of the time. This demands long commutes for the workers and high gas bills. Looking for work around here is a daily 50-80 mile run, using much more gas than other folks.
If we allow the oil companies to drain off any extra dollars what have Read More »
