I am tired of hearing how we are cleaning up the republicans mess.

The people that are currently in government positions have a vested interest in making sure that we remain divided in this country. In other words, Republicans desperately need you Republican voters to believe that you need them to save you from the socialist Democrats. Likewise, Democrats desperately need you Democratic voters Read More »

Allowing use of your 401k fund with out penlty

Posted by walkmoo 575 days ago (Suggestion)
I have some money in my 401k that I could use to pay off credit card debit if I could get into it without penalty's.
I know it is money for retirement but I need that money right now to pay bills. I am struggling but paying the house payments first, and the credit card companies continue to raise the interest rates, charge late payments and the debt continues to rise, even though I'm no longer using the credit cards or lines of credit. Improve Unemployment Application Process

Posted by hereiam 581 days ago (Suggestion)
I was laid off and applied for unemployment online. After WEEKS of hearing nothing back, I finally went to the office and it was expedited much faster. Wasn't the whole point of putting it online to streamline the process? Read More »
Really, don't you think that we would all have daily jobs if there wasn't so much importing? There used to be a time where you can go to many industrial parks and get a job, learn a trade, now there is nothing. Everything is moved over seas and I don't understand why it is not those companies that are taxed hard when they do/did this, so that they stay here and create jobs for us HERE. To me it's simple, buy American as best you can, tell those companies overseas that if they want our money to bring their business here and hire people here. Otherwise, tax those companies more, not the ones that provide employment for us in the USA.

STIMULUS PACKAGE TO AMERICANS NOT BANKERS!

Posted by PALGALZ 576 days ago (Suggestion)
Why not use the stimulus money to stop payroll taxes? We could receive our entire paychecks. Employers wouldn't have to pay taxes to the government and might be able to employee more workers. We would have more take home money to pay our credit cards, mortgages and spend to jump start the economy immediately instead of taking years, and years. How long would that bailout money keep us all receiving more pay? Maybe forever. Read More »
The only way to stimulate the economy is to help the American people now. Not with some crazy plans to create jobs 5 or 10 years from now but with real help for average Americans. Many of us ran into problems when gas prices were nearly $5 a gallon and then add in other major setbacks such as job loss or a major illness. Adding an extra $60 to my check a month is not going to go out and make me buy a car or any other big ticket item. I need help to pay off my credit cards with a low interest low from the government or a stimulus check to allow me to buy a better car to get back and forth from work. If you want to hand out money then give it to the people not the banks and businesses who are just going to waste it. Read More »

Interest rates need to be Capped

Posted by tomtom27 576 days ago (Suggestion)
Many people with good credit now have bad credit due to unforeseen occurrences. There are many reasons why good credit goes bad. The American workers should not have to be penalized for 10 years because of this. Interest rates need to have a cap put on them. It should go to 10%. That's it. Our government formed bankruptcy to give a person a fresh start but these financial companies which the government used the American workers tax money to bail them out are still charging outrageous interest rates for poor credit. This cripples your economy also. Think about it.

Promote investment in small business for jobs

Posted by brookjax 578 days ago (Suggestion)
Most investors had capital losses last year, not capital gains. Many senior citizens depend on investments for their retirement. Suspending the capital gains tax will let small investors and their IRA's regain some of last year's market losses and thereby restore consumer confidence, which is vital for an economic recovery. This way will be much quicker than the necessary but more difficult effort to stabilize housing prices and the real estate market.
More than 50% of adults own stocks and bonds, many through their pension plans and IRA's. The capital gains tax is double taxation; the stocks and bonds were bought with after-tax dollars. At least reduce capital gains taxes for middle class taxpayers and for IRA's and 401(K)'s.
Stimulate the economy. Excuse me; I feel a ting Read More »

Is this really fair?

Posted by betvrdn 580 days ago (Suggestion)
When you file Chapter 13 you have a choice of getting out of it at any time during the process. However, with Chapter 7 you have to go through with it no matter what. Most of this debt is credit card debt and within 7-10 years your out from under the debt if you never attempt to resolve it. So does it really make sense to take a person's (only asset) their home valued at $100,000. for a debt Read More »

Stop Sending Jobs Overseas

Posted by ersimonetti 573 days ago (Suggestion)
American companies and the American Government should not be allowed to send jobs to India and China just because their labor cost is cheaper per hour. We have lost millions of our jobs because American companies think they are saving money in the short run, but they are hurting our economy. Even our own government is using India for computer jobs. It should be illegal to use other countries to do anything that can be done here including all the manufacturing done overseas for American companies. This is only destroying our country, helping other countries, and putting some extra money into the hands of a few companies that would still be making money if they kept all the jobs in this country. The United States of America should come first. Please vote to make it illegal to send job Read More »
Why don't we let victims of foreclosures temporarily live in some of the homes that are sitting on the market. The Government could then give the builders at tax break at the end of the year. Or maybe the government comes up with a plan that will allow the foreclosure victims to rent the homes at a reduced rate? Read More »

Fastest Stimulus Package for Middle Class

Posted by jajwvu1995 576 days ago (Suggestion)
I feel that the fastest way to get the middle class to spend more is to have more every month. A one time check is nice, but does little to stimulate over a long period of time. Please allow the middle home owners to refinance their homes at 3% with minimal or no charges/penalties. This would place hundreds of dollars in the middle class wallet every month, allowing for greater spending every month. Read More »
MY SUGGESTION IS WE NEED WORKSHOPS IN EVERY STATE TO SIMPLIFY THE LANGUAGE AND THE DIALOGUE OF THE PROVISIONS THE U.S GOVERNMENT IS PROVIDING IN EACH STATE PART OF WHY WE WANTED TO BRING CHANGE TO AMERICA IS TO BE ON THE SAME PAGE WITH THE PROPER UNDERSTANDING. I BELIEVE SOMEONE IN EVERY STATE SHOULD BE APPOINTED TO RUN THESE WORKSHOPS ...BECAUSE PEOPLE ARE ALWAYS AFRAID OF WHAT THEY DONT UNDER Read More »

Low fixed mortgages available to all

Posted by kliston 573 days ago (Suggestion)
All of the banks given money in the bailouts should be forced to lend that money at low interest rates to all. They should be capped at 3 or 4%, and people should be able to have their mortgage automatically converted to a lower rate without paying alot of fees. This should be avail to everyone, not just people in dire straights financially. The banks are too greedy. Most honest people would have no problem paying reasonable fees. Read More »
